  RNA Interference

RNA Interference is the mechanism by which double stranded RNA (dsRNA) specifically suppresses the expression of a gene bearing its complementary sequence. The use of double stranded RNA to interfere with gene expression at the mRNA level (RNAi) is a novel and powerful method for understanding gene function. Pharmacom has attempted to design siRNAs for the predicted genes of the SARS genome.
