The 4-S (Signal acquisition, Signal interpretation, Signal representation and Signal execution) system is the core technology that Pharmacom invented for performing genomic and proteomic profiling at real-time and on a same platform. The microelectronic and nanotechnology-based biosensing systems are designed to capture electronic, optical, chemical, and biochemical signals that were generated mainly through molecular interactions, to analyze captured signals at real time through "on-line" genomic/proteomic algorithms and "on-board" data mining mechanism, to execute high-speed data transfer through an infrastructure network, internet or wireless interface, and to trigger a predefined chemical reaction, biological procedure, mechanical motion or human response.

We are particularly interested at the methodologies, technical innovations and viable applications of detection technologies:

• B Cell-Based Sensors for Rapid Identification
• Portable Luminescence Immunoassay Technology
• Real Time PCR without Amplification
• Fluorescence Detection Technology
• Enhancement of PCR and Biosensor Detection
• State-of-the-Art PCR-Mass Spectrometry
• Solid State Microsensors
• Bacteriophage Amplification
• Surface Plasmon-Coupled Emission
• Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization MALDI-MS for Rapid Screening
• Phontonic Biosensing ‘Smart’ Material
• DNA Microarray Technology
• Nanoelectrode Array for Rapid DNA/RNA Analysis
• Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Electrodes
