The position of microbiology technician involves study in the growth, characteristics, and effects of bacteria and other micro-organisms for better understanding their relation to human, plant, and animal health. The individual will investigate how these microorganisms function in the production of vitamins, antibiotics, amino acids, alcohols, and sugars. The result of such research, and the specific kinds of methodologies and techniques Microbiologists develop, are applied in medical, agricultural, industrial, sanitary, and other scientific fields. Candidates must have a BS/MS in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field, plus two years working experience.
