The position of senior nanotechnologist involves leading edge research in the field of nanotechnology for materials development within a program directed towards the development of carbon and gold nanotubes, nanocomposites and hybrid materials. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in materials synthesis, processing and characterization methods. The successful applicant will conduct independent research and work with graduate and undergraduate students in one of the following areas: (1) Carbon nanotube chemistry with focus on mixing and integration into liquid systems, and (2) Polymer nanocomposites with focus on the development of hybrid systems. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
